Villa Coccapani

The seventeenth century Villa Ronchi and then the palace of the Coccapani family

The villa was built on the Fiorano hill, in the early years of the seventeenth century, at the behest of Count Ludovico Ronchi, and, in 1686, the palace became the property of the Coccapani marquises.

Lovers of literature and the arts and leading writers visited their home.

The villa was inherited by the Morano family in 1918 and then sold to private owners in the 1970s.

The central part of the façade was altered at the beginning of the twentieth century, when the three central arches of the entrance were replaced.

There are two staircases in the main entrance hall, positioned symmetrically with respect to the central axis and leading to the main floor. The doors have picturesque decorations.

The villa is surrounded by a garden with high trees: cypresses and also citrus trees (lemon, sweet orange, citron); pergolas, vineyards and beautiful lawns were also created.

The villa is privately owned and not open to visitors.
