The interior, decorated in the seventeenth century by Tommaso Costa, Olivier Dauphin and Sigismondo Caula, offers startling tricks of the light. Adeodato Malatesta restored the frescoes of the dome in the nineteenth century.
The marble main altar was sculpted by Tommaso Loraghi.
